Metal Deck Clips (750 Pieces)

Metal Deck Clips

Metal Deck Clips are professional concealed fasteners manufactured from hot‑dip galvanized steel sheet, engineered to deliver superior durability for natural wood and composite (WPC) decking installations. Far stronger than plastic alternatives, they prevent deck boards from shifting, warping, or loosening over time. The concealed fixing system leaves no screws or fasteners visible on the surface, creating a flawless modern finish — and automatically maintains a consistent 3 mm expansion gap. Supplied in a bulk pack of 750, offering a cost‑effective supply solution for medium‑to‑large projects, regular installation contractors, and wholesale stock.

Product Advantages

• Superior Strength & Durability: All‑metal construction eliminates the breakage, bending, and loosening that affect plastic clips; maintains a secure, rigid installation year after year even under heavy footfall
• Galvanized Corrosion Protection: Thick zinc coating applied by the hot‑dip process delivers long‑term resistance to moisture, rain, and outdoor weather; reliable for both covered and fully exposed locations
• Concealed, Premium Finish: Boards are fixed from the side so no screw heads show on the walking surface; the natural grain and appearance of your decking remain the focus for a clean, uncluttered look
• Consistent 3 mm Gap: Every clip automatically spaces boards exactly 3 mm apart; drainage and thermal movement allowance are perfectly uniform across the whole surface
• Fast, Consistent Installation: Simple fit‑and‑fix design saves time on site; delivers the same high‑quality result regardless of who carries out the work
• Economical Bulk Pack of 750: Covers approximately 25–33 m² in one go, completing most projects without re‑ordering; significantly lowers cost per unit and simplifies stock management
• Long‑Term Value: By holding boards firmly aligned, these clips extend deck lifespan and remove the need for costly future repairs caused by broken or failed fixings

Installation Guidelines

• Position joists at 300–400 mm centres; closer spacing increases the number of clips required per m²
• Screw one clip to the joist at every board joint; each board end must be secured by at least one clip
• Set and align the first row parallel to the wall or edge; fit clips and position boards without fully tightening yet
• Slot subsequent boards into place; the 3 mm gap forms automatically
• Add extra clips at ends and corners to reinforce joints
• Go back and fully tighten all screws once installation is complete; check periodically to ensure no loosening occurs
• For coastal, high‑salt, or chemically exposed environments — specify stainless‑steel (AISI 304 / 316) clips instead
• In very high‑rainfall regions, choose versions with wider 6 mm gaps to improve drainage and prevent water pooling

Frequently Asked Questions

How much area does a pack of 750 cover?
Covers approx. 25–33 m² at 400 mm joist spacing; approx. 20–25 m² at 300 mm spacing. Exact quantity depends on joist layout and board width.

Will galvanized clips rust?
Hot‑dip galvanizing provides many years of reliable protection under normal outdoor conditions. For permanent exposure to saltwater or chemicals, select stainless‑steel versions.

Is a 3 mm gap wide enough?
Standard and suitable for most climates and covered terraces. In very wet areas or pool surrounds, wider‑gap versions are recommended.
